A Wish by Raymond A. Foss
I wish it was Your face I awoke to This morning – Gentle and calm, Lost in a dream.
To caress your shoulder And kiss your neck. To smell your skin And watch you awake. To hold you in my arms And pull you closer.
To say I love you And to thank God That He (or She) brought Us together As the first words From my lips. Each day.
This is my wish This morning For today.
